We are finally here and we're
called The HORSE REVIEW the most complete on-line resource for horse
enthusiasts and we're attracting literally thousands of visitors seeking information about
horses and horse-related products. Today we feature northern Nevada and we're expanding
across the West.
Because of the vast interest in the equine, we constantly update our information and
continue to offer extensive resources through a directory of links to other horse-related
sites. More and more people are visiting www.horsereview.com daily
and finding exactly what they need.
NEW PROJECTS - 1998
The Horse Review team is currently working to put together a series of web pages
featuring Equine Disaster Information for this area. This effort is being done
through an association with Stephen M. Apatow's Humanitarian Resource Institute's Disaster
Planning web site. Apatow's site links to the Federal Emergency Management
Agency (FEMA) web site.
Locally, Dr. Joseph Coli, of the Comstock Large Animal Hospital, is assisting the research
team to help create an Equine Disaster Plan for this area. The research is based
upon the Equine Disaster Plan created at UC Davis.
HISTORY OF THE TEAM
The Team
The master mind behind the screen is President of Visual Imagry and horse enthusiast, Dee
Beaugez. After visiting site after site on the web, she realized that there was a need for
a horse-related web site that catered to local area clubs and events and with a focus on
local horse people and local horses and horse issues. The next person to become part of
the team was Shirley Sepulveda, Managing Editor.
After researching and contacting many people directly involved in the northern Nevada
horse scene, Dee and Shirley have compiled the most complete directory yet which includes
local trainers, stables, clubs, events, shows, current show results (when available) and
so much more. Sepulveda also took on the responsibility of the Feature
Section, Happy Trails.
As the year past the creative team began to come together. Val Glatthar starting
writing Val's Country Features and News and Vickee Greer of First
Impressions Photography brought her equine photographic talents and clear
crisp writing skills to the Horse Review. Sara Brickner joined up to add her
creativity to Marketing the Horse Review. Patti Lowry-Parrish has used her
artistic talents to add a new world of humor for English crowd with her creative of "TD."
Writer Mike Tristram shares her world of adventure with her Tin
Cup Adventures section. The Teen & Youth News &
Directory is beginning to grow with the efforts of Tanya Stafford (western
side) and creative teens like Jessika Dee Savage (photographer) and Colin &
Aubre Brown. Carol Hinckley Smith, VP of Finance, brings more to
the Horse Review than just her creative financial talents - she has showed all over the
world. TEAM
