Onary Owen Wins a Blue!
| Diana's second horse (pony)
was Onary Owen. He was there for her if they were showing, taking lessons or
simply riding the trails of Reno and Spanish Springs. "Owen had the heart of a
Warmblood! He was a real champion, and never really saw himself as a pony!"
said Diana. |

Owen belonged to Carol
Hinckley Smith. Diana trained with Carol from the time she was 14. Carol and
her family moved to Washington and Diana's family bought Owen for Diana.
Owen lived on Plumb Lane. Next he was boarded at Bonde Lane, when Diana was training
with Lynn Mullins at Meadow View Farms.
Diana's family bought horse property in Spanish Springs and Owen moved there with the love
of his life, Amazing Grace. Diana rode him in shows
every summer and won her a first place at a University of Nevada Horse Show. This
was Owen's last show and Diana's first blue ribbon!
Onary Owen died from colic January 5, 1996. Owen was a special part of Diana's life and a trusted member of the
Beaugez family. We Miss him most of all! |
