Dear Goose,
The decision to end your suffering was not a difficult one, but absolutely nothing could have prepared us for the reality of that moment. The emptiness I feel inside is indescribable as we are forced to give up our daily routine of feeding, cleaning, grooming, riding, munching on carrots, and just being together. This Thanksgiving we gave thanks for the powerful force that brings us all together, to love and enjoy each other. Thank you for coming into my life 27 years ago, and allowing me to be your most trusted friend. We hope that you are experiencing a beautiful new world, where no pain exists and your vision is restored. A place where you can graze, run, buck and play like a colt again, along with the company of other horses forever.
