Maplewood Stables is located in beautiful Pleasant Valley, approximately 10 miles south of Reno on Highway 395.   It is situated on 150 gorgeous acres, including trails, ponds, hills and creeks.

Julie Winkel is an AHSA "R" and CEF judge.  She has 20 years of teaching experience, and has trained many Pacific Coast and National Champion Hunters and Jumpers.  She has qualified many riders and horses for indoor East Coast finals. Julie Winkel has served on PCHA and AHSA Hunter Seat Equitation Committees and is a certified equine appraiser.
