What's Next for 2001?
by Chrysann Collatos
Hunt
Ridgecrest, CA Jan. 12-14
Three days of hunting, three packs of hounds: Red
Rock Hounds, John Auborns Kingsbury Harriers and Paradise Valley Beagles of Arizona,
Ridgecrest is 7 hours south of the kennel on Rte. 395. Horses to haul down Thursday,
return Monday the 15th. This is low altitude desert country with huge
elevations into surrounding mountains. Joshua trees, prickly pear very different
from our territory and warm in January. This trip was a huge success last year. Hosted by
John and Donna Auborn. |

New York, New
York Jan. 25-26
Annual Masters meeting January 25 and Masters Ball
January 26. A great opportunity to shop (after New Years sales are on!) and we
always do two nights on Broadway. Last year we saw Carol Burnett 4 rows back,
center stage what a treat! Followed NYC with a trip south to hunt with Rita Mae
Browns Oakridge hounds and watch the SuperBowl over hunt breakfast. |

Hunt Gerlach,
NV Feb. 17 18
Lou and Sylvia Fascio have invited us back for
another year. Plan to haul in Saturday AM and hunt at 11:00. That night Lou will host a
magnificent black tie dinner at Brunos Country Club. Hunt Sunday morning at 10:00
and haul home that evening. Remember Lous mantra: Diamonds and Cleavage, Diamonds
and Cleavage, Diamonds

This trip is a dream come true: Let Lynn haul your
horse, you fly into Palm Springs (or Ontario) and hunt with Santa Fe hounds the 22nd,
golf and/or shop the 23rd, hunt again the 24th, then dress up and
enjoy the Santa Fe Hunt Ball at the sumptuous Indian Wells Country Club in Palm Springs
that night. Sunday sit under the tent, eat lunch and watch the Grand Prix at Indio before
you fly home. |
