How I got Started in the Horse World

My first job was running a pony ride for money, then I worked for my first horse's  board.  I ended up riding for a horse trader, doing ride-ins at the horse sales for him, and then working for the horse sales.

Along the way I've ridden hunters and jumpers, galloped quarter horse race horses, team roped, barrel raced, gymkhana and shown all different breeds in western, halter and trail.

I've also been a drug tester at many regional and world shows. I worked on cattle ranches in my late teens and early twenties.

I stand my own  stallion for breeding and a friend of mine endurance races him when he is not with his harem.

Everyday every horse and person I deal with teaches me something new -- good and bad!  But I get the biggest charge out of watching a kid or even a grownup get their first ribbon at their first show.
