The Aceman Dear Mom, A lot of stuff has happened since I last
wrote home, Ma.
He coliced and had a twist so they tried and tried but finally they put him down. I hung around with him and Shirley all night that last night. I am so sad cuz I lost my riding buddy Picked up the slack... It took a lot of pushing and sitting...
Then the next week, Tiger and I took the clamps off of Tiger's paddock in one corner. It took a lot of pushing and sitting on it to pop those suckers off but we did it!! Shirley came out and caught us as we were trying to get the panels to separate enough so Tiger could come out and play with me . Now there are four clamps on each corner. She has been taking me over to the Stafford's arena again to ride. I'd like you to know that every time she takes me by myself I dig a huge hole in their driveway while I'm tied up I keep hoping they will tell her not to bring me anymore. They are okay humans (as humans go anyways) but Munchie is always on a power trip trying to outdo me all the time. I like Stormy all right but the last time I went Zorro was there. We were roommates at Shereen's and still don't like each other any better and between the two of them they got me in plenty of trouble . The wind warnings are prohibited today on
the freeway so that canceled our trip across the lake today. That is why I had time to
write you. I am really busy trying to help Shirley work through her grief - She really is
such a crybaby!! Rumor has it we might go early tomorrow morning so we are all praying for
rain
Four afternoons ago, Oreo was turned out in the arena, you know the day all the world's pagers went dead and the streets were full of hysterical people. He decided to try and jump a barrel, four poles, and the arena fence. He waited until Shirley left to go take care of Topper at Maplewood Stables for Bev. He almost made it and his face was totally unmarked this time! But you should see the rest of him. He has stitches in two places on his left front leg and a whole in his right rear fetlock and a split in his shoulder that wasn't quite bad enough for stitches. A huge scrape on his left rear leg a couple of inches down from the stifle joint that swelled up pretty good. Some of those stitches are in his knee. Shirley says that after all the blood was washed off of him it wasn't nearly as bad as it had looked. So as you can see we are keeping her busy with 20 other horses here, and taking care of Bev's animals and ranches.
She has even talked about hauling me out to Spanish Springs and using Dee's arena to practice. Is This woman nuts or does she get frequent hauling miles for hauling my butt every where???? She says that will make me good about trailering and going places. Did you send a video or something??
Love ya, THE ACEMAN
