Start your day with breakfast. Quick start your
metabolism with an easy
plan. Eat the first meal of the day within a half an hour of waking
up. Breakfast is easy to fix and an important part of the diet day.
Use a protein and a starch. Try these combos to get those enzymes in
your digestive tract to release the sugar in the carbos, this glucose is
sent to your cells and will give you an a.m. boost. The protein will
ward off a crash!
Try some of these and see if your morning goes a little smoother... shredded wheat or
puffed wheat with skim milk, an omelet with 2 egg whites and 1 yolk with a slice of whole
grain bread, a half cup of cottage cheese or ricotta cheese with a slice of rye or eight
grain bread. These are just a few so be creative and use the protein starch mixture as a
way to keep that busy morning on track. Snacks are good a couple of hours later try fruits
with less sugar like apples and pears and vegetabels with lots of "chew" like
carrots and celery and raw string beans.
Next, try to eat lunch by 1:00 pm. |

| Exercise #4 |
Did you know that walking 4 miles in
one hour burns approximately the
same amount of calories as a four mile run in a half an hour? The key
to this... a low intensity and a longer workout will help you attain your weight loss
results in just an effective manner as shorter high intensity workouts. Now that the
weather has heated up the lower intensity work outs are easier to manage and burn as many
calories as shorter high intensity exercise. Remember it is the number of calories burned
that helps reduce the size of the waist line, hips and thighs. You want those chaps to fit
just right. |
| Motivational Tip: |
Get your equine friend to be your workout
partner.
Posting is one of the best exercises that you can do for your tummy, gluteals, lower back,
abductors and adductors. (inner and outer
thighs)... so trot around that arena or on the trail but use good body
mechanics and POST ..POST.. POST.. Your rear veiw as well as your
horse's will definitely improve. |
| Grooming Tip: |
When brushing out a tangled mane or
tail try a little WD-40 and the twists
and twirls and dreadlocks will comb out smoothly with no breaks. The WD-40 will disappear
in just a short time but will help with the messy tangles and occasional sticks or burrs
that can hide in those tails and cause breaks as you try to "Yank" them out.
