Tin Cup Moonlight Ride
Rules & Equipment Lists
...

Read Rules | Suggested Equipment | Menu | Directions

The Black Rock Desert is extremely gentle terrain suitable for all types
of riders and horses. For your safety and enjoyment, we strongly suggest
you bring a quiet, well-mannered, easily controlled horse.

Because the desert is so flat and open, some riders may be tempted to
gallop and charge about. (See Rules)

Our crossing will be much like that made by thousands of pioneers in 1849
and for years afterward. The difference is we will have full bellies, cold
drinks, and well fed horses. Also, we will be doing it for fun!

RULES:
1.  ABSOLUTELY NO GALLOPING WILL BE PERMITTED DURING THE RIDE.

2.  TO PRESERVE THE MOOD AND SPIRIT OF THE CROSSING WE WILL PROCEED IN A LOOSE GROUP AT A WALK SO WE CAN ENJOY THE COMPANY OF EACH OTHER AND THE SPLENDOR OF THE MOONLIGHT DESERT.

3.  ASSISTANCE OF ANY KIND, MEDICAL OR OTHERWISE, IS DIFFICULT AND   VERY TIME-CONSUMING TO OBTAIN. PRACTICE RIDER COURTESY AND SAFETY.
