When a disaster strikes it really is up to
you to help your own animals!
For the past year I have been working to bring together professionals who have created
disaster preparedness plans and rescue units to speak at a local workshop. That dream has
become a reality with the March 20 and 21 Equine Disaster Preparedness Workshop
in Reno, NV.
Please review the tentative schedule and fill out the form. Please return the form
by mail or fax (775-) before March 1st.
If you have information or articles you would like included in the Equine Disaster
Preparedness Newspaper please email me the copy before February 28th.

Members of the disaster preparedness world wide web community are also trying to get the
word out that in times of disaster we, as animal owners, must include our pets and large
animals in our own plans.
If you havent had the opportunity to surf to the "Disaster Preparedness"
section of the The Horse Review (http://www.horsereview.com), I invite you
to take a few minutes to review the links and articles. We are now working with
PetFolio ( http://www.petfoliomagazine.com) magazine and helping them to create a Pet Disaster
Preparedness Information section.
The Horse Review's role is to provide a web site where horse, and all animal
owners, can find the kinds of information that will help them to design their own disaster
preparedness plan.
I want to thank you for attending.
