"First Response"

On Saturday, October 31 at 11:00 AM (check local listings), the USA Network will air a one-hour television special entitled "First Response". This is a reality show that focuses on real life Firefighters.

This pilot episode of "First Response" is the result of Producers and Film
Crews living around the clock for three weeks at two Los Angeles City Fire
Stations (Fire Station 27 in Hollywood and Fire Station 66 in South LA).

From the outset, the Producers have endeavored to portray an honest and
realistic view of the Fire Service. Although this first episode features the
Los Angeles City Fire Department, the Producers have expressed interest in
featuring other cities across the nation.

I hope that many Firefighters, their families and friends will tune in and
watch this powerful hour of television. I also encourage you to write to
USA Network and advise them that as friends, families and members of the
Fire Service, we long for and appreciate such programming.

It is very Important that our voices be heard when there are positive media portrayals of our vocation.
