All of the Australian Shepherd puppies who were rescued by Denise
Langston and her two nieces, Amber and Kayla, have been placed in new loving homes. These
five puppies are bundles of energy, curiosity, and love.

Through interesting twists of fate, three of the five pups now belong to
employees of Sierra County Human Services in California. Puppy stories abound in this
workplace. Photos of a variety of the employees and their pets are displayed on a bulletin
board in the Health Department.
One of the pups has been named "Lucky" and is working with his new mom
going into schools in Sierra County to teach students about the connection between child
abuse and animal abuse. Toddlers to teens connect with this puppy. Lucky loves children of
all ages. The older students comprehend his (and his littermates) close brush with death.
Amber and Kayla have decided to keep Alex. These two sisters worked
round the clock to save the lives of these puppies. Alex bonded to them in a special
way and is now with his permanent family.
Denise, through her personal dedication to animal rescue work, has saved five beautiful
animals from death and given them life. These puppies are each a blessing to their new and
grateful families. There are many more animals that "deserve to live". Every
person who gives of themselves to perform rescue work, as a business or as an individual,
works their own brand of miracles.
Bless the beasts, the children, and the rescuers of both.
