  • "How do I get that "show horse bloom" on my horse's coat?"
  • "I want to be a responsible horse owner, but I have a limited monthly budget. How can I provide what my horse needs without 'breaking the bank'?"
  • "Where can I find "one stop shopping" for most of my animal's feed needs?"
  • "With new state of the art horse products constantly hitting the market, how can I determine if a new product is right for my horse. If I want to try it, where can I find it?"

ANSWER:
First, check with your veterinarian about your horse's nutritional and health concerns. Typically your horse needs a regular schedule of vaccinations and worming, especially if showing and/or traveling to different areas. Your vet can advise you. It is also possible depending on your concerns that a physical might be needed to evaluate your horse's current condition. To skimp here can be a false savings and may actually not only cost you more in the long run but risk losing your horse.

Second, talk with your feed store staff. They may have suggestions that are worth trying. Horse hay and animal feed is their business. They also receive feedback on new products used by their customers in addition to info from dealer representatives. If they don't have something you want, ASK! They may be able to order for you and other customers may be interested as well.
